SVTOA-Toronto chapter members: We need YOUR ride featured here! Whether it's a track dawg, trailer queen, or daily beater, it DESERVES recognition. Simply submit a few words about your ride and some good resolution pictures (at least 640 x 800), and email them to our webmaster.

We are pleased to announce that SVTOA-Toronto donated $4,056.00 to the Canadian Liver Foundation in memory of Richie Swern during our "Ride for Richie" club cruise on Sunday July 17, 2011. We had over 14 cars participate with over 25 people in attendance.  Richie's parents attended the cheque presentation to the Canadian Liver foundation at Boothill.  

This event was a huge success for our club thanks to the support of our corporate sponsors: Ash City Worldwide, Cadillac Shutters, Dixie Ford, Elizabeth & Neil Cooper, Flight Centre, Gryphon Industries, Halton Auto & Industrial Supply,  Home Protection Plus, MP Russo & Associates, Niagara Helicopter Tours, R & R Pool Supplies, Salon Piaff, SVTOA Toronto, Swim Time & West 50 Pourhouse & Grille. Special thanks go out to our members' efforts in donating time (selling raffle tickets etc) and money to the cause.  

I would like to extend my special thanks to Stuart Dankevy for organizing this project for our club as he worked tirelessly to make this event a huge success.   We hope to build on our 2011 success in 2012 by having more of our members participate in this worthy cause.

Our SVTOA friends in the US have done that, namely "GT Joey" Limongelli and Chris McGregor. On August 13, 2011, both began a trek "Around the World in a Ford GT". Their trip began on the easternmost tip of Long Island, NY and made stops along the way to visit with fellow GT owners, enthusiasts and even members of the original Ford GT build team!

Updates of the adventures of GT Joey and "Nardo" Chris (owner of the Ford GT that ran over 200 mph at the famous Nardo race track in Italy) are located in the Ford GT section of the SVTOA National forum!
