Canadian Crime Victims Foundation

Joseph Wamback and his SVT Mustang CobraVisit the CCVF siteSVTOA-Toronto Chapter Member Joseph Wamback shares his views on the true cost of crime.

In 1999, Joseph and his wife, Lozanne. saw the nearly-fatal effects of a swarming attack by young offenders on their son, Jonathan. Since then, Jonathan has fought back to reclaim his life that was nearly beaten out of him that day. After seeing a mere slap-on-the-wrist for the youths who committed the crime, Joseph and Lozanne decided to work diligently and relentlessly to support other victims of crime overcome the imbalance in Canada's criminal justice system as well, available support services for victims of crime.

The summer of 2002 witnessed the birth of the Canadian Crime Victims Foundation (CCVF), thanks to the substantive efforts and personal commitment of the Wambacks. CCVF now strives for basic human rights for victims of crime and changes in the legal system.
